Veterans Canteen Service (VCS)

Veteran Benefits
A number of government and non-profit organizations offer benefits for Veterans and their families, from education and employment assistance to emergency support.
Transition Assistance Program (TAP)
Multiple government agencies contribute to the Transition Assistance Program, offering education, training, and employment resources.
VA Caregiver Support
The VA offers education and training, resources, support, and referrals for family members who care for Veterans both online and at VA facilities.
Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP)
CAP helps Department of Defense employees and active duty service members with disabilities get accommodations for accessible technology.
DAV Transportation to Hospital
Disabled American Veterans (DAV) coordinates transportation nationwide to VA medical facilities if you’re sick or injured and need a ride for treatment.
My HealtheVet Online Portal
This online portal through the VA allows you to manage your health care, including appointments, prescriptions, and communication with providers.

VSO State Contacts
Veteran Service Officers can provide free help with submitting benefits claims to the Department of Veterans Affairs to avoid mistakes and delays. You can use a Veteran Service Officer through your state Veterans Affairs office or through a number of Veteran organizations.
